Fellow of the CHRS (FCHRS) Application

Election as a Fellow of the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society (CHRS) recognizes clinical, scientific, academic, and professional accomplishments and volunteer leadership and service. The right to include the initials FCHRS among your credentials lets your colleagues and patients know that you have met the high standards required for Fellowship designation in the national organization of heart rhythm professionals in Canada. 

The Fellowship is open to scientists, clinician researchers, and clinical educators with a major and productive interest in electrophysiology. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Be a CHRS Regular/Physician Member in good standing for a minimum of 2 years.
  2. Have a PhD, MD or equivalent; other certifications may be considered by the CHRS Nominations and Awards Committee.
  3. Be recognized by peers as competent in the field of heart rhythm disorders.
  4. Demonstrate the highest ethical standards of professional behavior.
  5. Demonstrate significant accomplishment as a scientist, clinician researcher, or clinical educator in heart rhythm medicine or science, i.e. have authored at least 10 publications, including 5 as first author.
  6. Demonstrate significant current and/or past volunteer service to the CHRS and to the Canadian heart rhythm community.
The cost to submit your application is $200 plus taxes.
