This course explores the complex relationship between chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and cardiovascular disease. Learners will examine epidemiologic evidence linking COPD with increased risk of coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, and gain insight into the underlying mechanisms driving this association. The course also provides practical, evidence-based approaches to screening and managing cardiovascular disease in patients with COPD, with a focus on integrating care strategies to optimize both cardiac and pulmonary outcomes.
