GLP-1 RA Learning Series: Part 1 - Bridging the Gap: Role of GLP-1 RAs in Obesity, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular Community Care

This is the first Section 3 Self-Assessment Program part of the CCS's GLP-1 RA Learning Series, which aims to enhance healthcare providers' knowledge and skills to improve outcomes for high-risk patient populations through the effective integration of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) into clinical practice.

Learning Objectives

• Evaluate the pathophysiological connections between obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease to implement evidence-based treatment strategies
• Integrate current evidence on GLP-1 RAs in the management of patients with diabetes and cardiometabolic diseases into clinical practice
• Apply patient-centred approaches in discussing weight management, incorporating principles of trauma-informed care
