An engaging three-day event you won't want to miss.
Part 1 of the Planetary Connection to Cardiovascular Health Series: Navigating Patient Health Amidst Wildfires
Navigating Patients Amidst Wildfires This course will delve into the significant impact of wildfires on cardiovascular and respiratory health. Wildfires pose serious risks to individuals with pre-existing cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, exacerbating symptoms and increasing the likelihood of adverse health events. We will explore the specific health risks associated with wildfire smoke exposure, identify high-risk populations, and discuss proactive strategies to protect cardiovascular and respiratory health during wildfire events. Participants will gain insights into actionable recommendations for reducing risk, including staying indoors during poor air quality, utilizing air purifiers, and developing personalized action plans to guide health management before and during wildfires. We will also emphasize the importance of community-level interventions in mitigating the health impacts of wildfires and promoting resilience in affected populations.
